Key activity zones offer developmentally appropriate and inclusive play experiences for all ages. Aquatix organizes aqua play products into three zones that take into account the variation in sensory needs, age and height of splash pad visitors.
The Gentle Zone
This zone is for visitors who are learning to enjoy water and its textures. Features in this zone are closer to the perimeter for easy supervision, lighter in water pressure and lower to the ground.
The Universal Zone
The Universal Zone includes a variety of features for the whole family, and promotes growth through experience. Typically in the center of the design, this zone serves as a transition between the Gentle and Dynamic zones. The Universal Zone offers variation in water pressure and texture, as well as height of features and sprays.
The Dynamic Zone
This zone offers continual excitement and interaction with the highest intensity of water pressure and volume, and it increases opportunities for cooperation, competition and game-playing.
