Landscape view of Mt Hebron Park spray park

Mt. Hebron Park

Project Overview

A colorful dose of splashing fun awaits children at the Mt. Hebron Park splash pad. For a bit of fine misting, the colorful WhirlFlex is a unique archway for giggle-infused cool-downs, while the GeoMisters are half-exposed geometric sprayers with multiple misting nozzles. More misting can be had under one side of the UniFlow, while the other side emits stronger streams. A major surprise comes from the random bucket dumps of the FlashFlood, while at the AquaGather Station, children explore water’s behavior through cause-and-effect play. More cause-and-effect action is found at the SprayStacker, where holding buttons causes water pressure to build to an explosion of spray. And three HydroSpheres let young ones control the fun, by aiming a safe stream of water at their buddies. Ground sprays like the Arch Jets, Curvy Jet Manifold, Jr Water Jewel, Side Wall Stream and Sea Crawler are found throughout the pad at Mt. Hebron Park for a variety of cooling spray sensations.

Video features an Aquatix splash pad by Landscape Structures at Mt. Hebron Park in Rogers Arkansas.

[video: screen fades into a full elevated flyover of a large park with a playground completely covered by colorful shades and a splash pad right next to it. Scene fades to a left-to-right ground-panning view of the splash pad filled with playing children. Children play at an interactive water table. Girls play with the dolls at the water table. Scene fades to a man as he stands in the playground location of the park speaking about the park. Blue animated water droplets fall in the lower left corner revealing white text that reads “Peter Masonis City of Rogers Public Relations Manager, Rogers Arkansas”.]

Peter: Well, this project actually started out as a part of a bond initiative. For the city of Rogers. And so, residents had some input on what was going to be here. Residents voted that they wanted this to exist. And so, it’s been quite a little bit of time in the making.

Peter voiceover: And a lot of planning, a lot of development. Like I said, resident input. As to what is going to be here. And now we have what exists and residents are beginning to enjoy it.

[video: a boy holds his hands over a sphere at the top of a red post. He releases his hands, and a stream of water continuously shoots from the sphere. Scene switches to children walking through multiple arch posts as they mist water from multiple nozzles. Children walk and run through the water. Water floods down from a large bucket. Children stand in the splash zone of the large bucket as the water falls. A child holds their hand on the touch water activation panel. A boy stands in a wall of droplets of water. A boy pushes the top of his head in the stream of a ground sprayer. A girl walks over and places her foot over the ground sprayer. Scene switches to a woman standing in the park playground area as she speaks to the camera. Blue animated water droplets fall in the lower left of the screen revealing white text that reads “Andrea Von Brinton, City of Rogers Parks & Rec Assistant Director, Rogers Arkansas”.]

Andrea: At our splash pad, we wanted our inclusivity to go even there.

Andrea voiceover: As a wheelchair can go through the water, there is interactive play at levels low, medium, and high. And visuals that all kids can enjoy.

[video: a boy pushes his friend to run through the arch mister spraying posts. A mother splashes her baby from a light stream coming from a geometric sculpture. A girl aims the interactive sphere post, shooting it like a canon across the splash pad. Children rush over to the splash zone as the large dump bucket gets ready to flood. A girl holds her arms up as a wall of water droplets drenches her. She wipes the water and her hair from her face. Scene fades out and back into a young girl as she taps her hands on the top of the geometric sculpture as it sprays light streams of water from multiple nozzles. Scene fades out and back into a group of children playing at the interactive water table. Scene fades out and back into a left-to-right pan of the entire splash pad as children play all around. Someone screams in the background. The scene fades to white as blue animated raindrops fall in the center of the screen. As the droplets fall the Aquatix logo appears. The Aquatix logo slides slightly to the left as a black line appears to the right of the logo. A second logo appears on the right reading “ACS playground adventures”. Screen fades to black and the video ends.]
