Fairfax Splash Pad
If sports are the name of the game, then Fairfax Splash Pad is the place to be. A football-themed FlashFlood, soccer-themed Sports Dome, basketball-, football- and soccer-themed Aim N Sprays, Bat & Ball Shower and Spraying Puck are just a few of the sports-themed spray play products delivering fun and imaginative water play. Also included in the spray play design is a selection of ground sprays including the Arch Jet, Curvy Jet Manifold, Geyser, Sea Crawler, Stream Jet and Stream Jet Triangle.

Joe: I think the effect on the community has been…it’s a destination now for not only our community but it’s also a destination for surrounding communities.[video: focused view of the tops of three water activities. Joe: We’ve got a small Sports Complex here with the soccer fields and with the playground, this just adds another dimension to that.[video: camera pans right to left across the splash pad as children play at all the different water activities. A girl kicks a ground geyser and walks through the water. A young girl walks up to an arched bar spraying water from multiple holes. She squints as she looks up at the camera.]
Joe voiceover: This is where people want to come play their baseball, this is where they want to have their tournaments at, this is where they want to have their kids involved in.[video: camera switches back to Joe briefly. Joe: Because of all the things that we do have. On a good day when this thing’s running at full capacity it’s about 97,000 gallons of water that’ll go through here.[video: full elevated view of children playing at the different sports themed water activities. Joe voiceover: Now we don’t recirculate any of that because of the cost associated with that, it goes right into our water filtration. But on a daily average it cost us about fifteen dollars a day to operate the splash pad at full capacity.[video: camera focuses on a sprayer shaped like a large hockey puck showering water out from its center. Joe: I was on city council I had the same concerns as anybody would have as far as financial and that sort of thing.
Joe voiceover: But I don’t think anybody that had those concerns prior would have those same concerns today.[video: two girls play together in the bubbling water of the large baseball painted globe. Girl: One of my favorite parts is when that runs down.[video: elevated view of the large football painted waterfall bucket. Water pours down from the football shape and painted gathering bucket hitting a green acrylic panel below altering the direction the water flows in. Children run and stand in the splash zone as the water falls down all around them. Camera switches to a ground view of the splash zone as a group of children shout and scream as they get drenched. The camera walks into the water as it continues to cascade down. A boy smiles as he stands in the pour water in the splash zone. Camera pulls back for a full view of the splash zone as children continue to jump and play in the water. The camera focuses in closer on the children as they smile, giggle, and jump in the falling water. Camera pulls back again for a full view of the splash zone.
