Inlow Park Splash Pad

Project Overview

Inlow Park Splash Pad is the perfect gathering space for families. The Nautilus2 Slide is the main event with its three-person wide slide and Cove hidden behind a waterfall on the backside. But in addition to the slide are the FlashFlood, RippleRun with Acrylic, SprayStacker and HydroSphere. And for kids looking for more of a gentle water play experience, there’s the AquaGather Station and GeoMisters. Best of all, there are SkyWays® shade structures incorporated into the park design to allow visitors to take a break from the sun and heat as needed.

Video features the outdoor Aquatix splash pad by Landscape Structures at Inlow Park in Carmel Indiana.

[video: Scene fades into a view of a large but short water slide. Children walk up the spiral stairs and wait their turn to ride down the slide. Children shout and play all around. Camera switches to a front view of the slide as children continue to slide down onto the large blue landing mat. Other children play at other water spray activities around the splash pad. The camera focuses on the slide as multiple children ride down, side by side. Other kids stand on the side watching their friends. Camera switches back to a front view of the slide panning up from the blue mat to the top of the slide. Children constantly continue to ride down. Scene switches to a view across the splash pad as children patiently wait their turn to go down the slide. Quickly one after the other children continuously ride down the slick slide. Camera switches to a side back view of the slide as children continue to play. Fogged acrylic paneling curves with the slide stairs leading up to the top. Families sit at picnic tables in the background underneath two large red triangular shade sails. Scene switches to a girl tuck underneath a ledge of the back side of the curved base of the slide. A wall of water streams down as she runs her hand through it. A little boy walks over and through the wall of falling water to join the girl. The camera switches to a full back view of the slide with the additional wall of water play activity. The girl and boy sit on the inside of the water staying dry by the over hand of the back of the slide while another boy plays his hands in the water from the opposite side. The camera focuses on the girl crouched as she crawls in the dry space between the back of the slide and the falling water. The young boy stands with his back up against the slide base.]

[video: three children walk up the wide red spiral stairs up to the top of the slide. A group of children waiting their turn to go down the slide turn to look at the camera. They wave and smile. A boy with goggles excitedly looks at the camera and claps his hands.]

Boy: Hi!

[video: with a top-down view from the overhead handrail of the slide children grab hold and sit to then ride down. Camera switches to a side view as two girls’ quickly ride down the slide together.]

Girl: Oh my gosh Avery!

[video: a boy holds up the peace sign with his fingers to the camera as he rides down the slide. A girl holds the camera facing herself as she rides down the slide. A second girl holds the camera facing herself and a young boy as they ride down the slide. She shouts excitedly.]

Girl: Ahh!

[video: camera switches to a full elevated rotating view of the slide as children continue to play. Scene fades into a view of a shaded picnic area off to the side where families gather. Children also play at a sensory water table under the large red shade sails. A boy wearing goggles plays at the water table. A girl joins the boy as they play together at the water table. Camera focuses on children’s hands as they shift and move panels to alter the flow of water on the table. Camera switches to a new part of the table where children play with the flowing water through different textures and canals. Scene switches to a boy as he hugs and rotates the top sphere of a water activity that sprays a single stream of water. A boy pushes his hands down onto the multiple streams of water from a ground sprayer. Scene switches to a young boy as he feels the falling water from a ground sprayer. Camera switches to a side view of a boy as he cups his hands over the stream of a ground sprayer. Two girls play at a geometric shaped sculpture with multiple water streams coming out from different sides. A boy kicks his feet through a ground sprayer. Scene switches to a ground of children standing in a splash zone of a large flood bucket activity. The water cascades down and drenches the children. They should with excitement. Scene switches as a girl holds the camera facing herself as she walks under the pouring down water. She smiles and shrinks into her shoulders as she gets wet. Scene switches to a girl as she talks about the splash pad.]

Girl: I think it’s awesome!

[video: elevated full view of the splash pad as children play at the different activities and families hand out in the picnic area. Blue animated rain drops fall in the center of the screen as the background fades to white. As the droplets fall the Aquatix logo appears. The Aquatix logo slides slightly to the left as a black line appears to the right of the logo. A second logo appears on the right reading “Play Pros”. Screen fades to black and the video ends.]
